A 39-year-old motorcyclist from Escanaba, Michigan, died Sunday following a collision with a truck at CTH S and Schwartz Road in the Town of Chase, Oconto County.
The accident occurred around 1:33 p.m. on July 12, 2026.
According to authorities, a truck stopped at a stop sign on Schwartz Road and then entered the intersection, where an eastbound motorcycle on CTH S struck the truck’s passenger side.
The motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The truck’s driver, a 48-year-old man from Oconto Falls, Wisconsin, and his 25-year-old passenger were treated at the scene and released.
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, alongside the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office, is investigating the crash. No further details have been released.
Emergency response included the Tri-County Fire Department, Oconto Falls Ambulance Service, and Larry’s Towing.
