Motorcyclist hospitalized after crash on I-20 during police chase.

ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — A motorcycle crash during a police chase closed Interstate 20 in Rockdale County on Monday afternoon.

Georgia State Patrol (GSP) initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle rider speeding and weaving through traffic in DeKalb County. The pursuit continued into Rockdale County, where the rider collided with a GSP patrol vehicle near Sigman Road, losing control and crashing into a guardrail.

The unidentified rider was airlifted to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. No fatalities were reported.

GSP units, along with local fire crews, responded to the scene, resulting in significant lane closures as investigators continued their work. The interstate has since fully reopened to traffic.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
