A 53-year-old man suffered injuries after a motorcycle crash in Holt County on Saturday evening, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at 7:14 p.m. on southbound Interstate 29 at mile marker 79, about five miles south of Mound City. The driver of a 2013 Harley-Davidson Street Glide lost control and struck a traffic sign post. Authorities reported the rider was ejected from the motorcycle, which came to rest on its left side, partially obstructing the southbound Exit 79 ramp.
The unhelmeted rider, a Bellevue, Nebraska resident, was transported by the Atchison Holt Ambulance District. The motorcycle sustained total damage and was towed from the scene by All City.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Holt County Sheriff’s Department and the Atchison Holt Ambulance District. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
