LONE TREE, Iowa (KCRG) – One person sustained serious injuries following a collision between a truck and a motorcycle Thursday afternoon in Lone Tree.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 22 and Wapsi Avenue.
A westbound Chevy Silverado struck a northbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle at the intersection, authorities reported.
The motorcyclist, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was transported to University of Iowa Health Care for treatment.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and the intersection was temporarily closed for investigation and cleanup. No additional injuries were reported.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
