FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. – A motorcyclist sustained critical injuries Thursday afternoon in a collision on Richmond Highway, according to police.
Authorities reported that the accident occurred at 2:41 p.m. at the intersection of Richmond Highway and Memorial Street in Groveton. The male motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle involved remained on the scene. Southbound Richmond Highway is closed at Memorial Street as the Fairfax County Police Crash Reconstruction Unit investigates the incident. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
