Motorcyclist Critical after Greenbrier Crash on Hwy 41

GREENBRIER, TENNESSEE – A motorcycle crash involving an SUV left one rider in critical condition and another with non-critical injuries on Tuesday at approximately 2:22 p.m. The incident occurred at the intersection of Highway 41 and Old Greenbrier Pike.

According to Detective Joseph Chelini of the Greenbrier Police Department, the motorcyclist, identified as 31-year-old David E. Davis, was transported via ground ambulance to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. The driver of the SUV sustained non-critical injuries and was also transported for treatment.

Units from the Greenbrier Police Department, Greenbrier Fire Department, Robertson County EMS, Robertson County Emergency Management Agency, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene. Highway 41 was closed for about two hours while the investigation was underway.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. Initial reports indicated that a 2018 Toyota RAV4 was attempting to turn right onto Old Greenbrier Pike from the left lane, colliding with the motorcycle traveling in the right lane.

No passengers were involved in either vehicle, and authorities reported that neither driver currently faces any charges pending further investigation. Updates on the motorcyclist’s condition remain unavailable at this time.
