TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, June 2, 2026 — A motorcyclist sustained critical injuries in a collision involving two trucks on 5400 South at 3600 West around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
According to Taylorsville Police Lt. Fowler, the trucks were turning north onto 3600 West while connected by a tow strap. The motorcyclist, a man in his mid-20s, was traveling westbound when he struck the tow strap.
The impact caused the rider to crash, resulting in severe injuries, including at least one significant leg injury. Witnesses reported providing emergency assistance by applying a tourniquet before medical personnel arrived.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital and is listed in “very critical condition” but was stabilized by medical staff.
Authorities have closed the intersection as the Taylorsville Police major accident investigation team processes the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
