Fatal Collision on Highway 101 Near San Jose Leaves One Dead
SAN JOSE, CA—A multi-vehicle collision on Highway 101 southbound occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. on October 12, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.
According to the California Highway Patrol, two cars and a pickup truck were involved in the accident, which took place near the Monterey Road exit. Emergency services transported three individuals to local hospitals with varying injuries. The identity of the deceased victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities reported that one lane remains closed as they conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Towing crews are on-site to clear the vehicles from the roadway, and traffic has been significantly affected in the area.
