Motorcyclist Injured in Collision with Car in Walworth County’s Town of Lyons.

TOWN OF LYONS, Wis. – A motorcycle and car collided on Highway 120 Thursday evening, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist.

According to the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, multiple 911 calls were received around 7:30 p.m. reporting the crash just north of Highway 12. Emergency responders found a car with two occupants and a motorcycle rider who had been ejected.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office. The car’s driver, a 17-year-old boy, was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene, while his 18-year-old female passenger was transported to a local hospital.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the car was exiting the Emagine Theater parking lot and was headed southbound when it collided with the motorcycle traveling northbound.

The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation, with assistance from the City of Lake Geneva Police Department, City of Lake Geneva Fire Department, Town of Lyons Fire Department, and the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office.

No lane closures were reported following the incident. Further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
