Motorcyclist Injured in Swansea Crash.

A motorcycle crash on Route 6 Friday morning resulted in the death of a 67-year-old man.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office, Alan Scott of Somerset was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a local hospital following the collision at approximately 8 a.m.

The crash involved a motorcycle and a small dump truck near Swansea Mall Drive. The operator of the dump truck was reportedly unharmed.

Authorities closed a section of Route 6 for several hours as they investigated the incident. Witnesses reported extensive debris from the motorcycle scattered across the roadway.

Both the Swansea Police Department and Massachusetts State Police are conducting investigations. The status of any potential charges has not yet been determined.

Emergency medical responders worked on Scott at the scene before transporting him to the hospital.

This incident marks another tragedy in a series of motorcycle accidents in the region, raising community concerns regarding road safety and awareness among motorists.
