Motorcyclist Killed and Driver Injured in Chantilly Collision.

A motorcyclist was killed and an SUV driver was seriously injured in a crash in Chantilly on Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Tall Cedars Parkway and South Riding Boulevard, involving a motorcycle and an SUV. Both individuals were transported to a local hospital, where the motorcyclist was pronounced dead.

The deceased has been identified as 44-year-old Brian Dan of Chantilly. The SUV driver, 61-year-old Suellen Rovder, also from Chantilly, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Witnesses reported that crashes at this intersection are common. Virginia DMV data indicated that there have been 30 accidents at this location in recent years, including 12 with injuries and a fatal incident on June 6, 2025.
