Authorities reported the crash occurred around 4:15 p.m. near mile marker 156, involving a sedan and a pickup truck traveling westbound. The impact resulted in significant damage to both vehicles.
Emergency responders, including the Phoenix Fire Department and Arizona Department of Public Safety, arrived at the scene promptly. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene, while three others were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
