BEND, OR—A motorcycle crash at SE 3rd Street and SE Miller Avenue on December 11 at 10:16 a.m. claimed the life of a 34-year-old man.
Authorities said Davis Franco was riding a 2017 Yamaha motorcycle northbound on SE 3rd Street when a 2017 Chevy pickup, driven by 31-year-old Ryan Wannemaker, turned left from SE Miller Avenue. The motorcycle collided with the rear quarter panel of the pickup.
Emergency responders from Bend Police and Bend Fire performed life-saving measures, but Franco was pronounced deceased at the scene. Wannemaker remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.
The roadway was closed until approximately 1:30 p.m. while the Bend Police Department’s reconstruction team conducted an investigation. Authorities ask anyone who witnessed the incident or observed the vehicles involved to call the non-emergency number at 541-693-6911.
