NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A motorcyclist died in a collision with an SUV on Castle Hayne Road Tuesday night, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred near I-140 when the motorcyclist exited the highway and failed to yield to the northbound SUV, authorities said.
The identity of the victim has not been released, and there were no reports of injuries to the SUV’s occupants.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and an investigation is ongoing.
