NEW HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Wis. (FOX 9) – A 51-year-old man died following a crash involving a motorcycle and a semi on County Road K in Dunn County on Friday.
The incident occurred around 4:43 p.m. in the N14000 block of County Road K, according to the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office. The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was found with serious injuries and was airlifted to Regions Hospital in Minnesota, where he later died. The driver of the semi was unharmed.
First responders included Boyceville Ambulance, Boyceville Fire Department, Menomonie Fire Department, Dunn County First Responders, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Life Link. Authorities noted that the motorcycle was traveling south while the semi was heading north when the collision occurred in a curve.
The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office in Minnesota are conducting an investigation.
