Motorcycle Collision Claims Life in Burley, Idaho
BURLEY — A 59-year-old Heyburn man died following a motorcycle crash on West Bedke Boulevard late Friday night, according to Idaho State Police.
The collision occurred at 10:21 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Bedke Boulevard when the man, riding a 2015 Kawasaki motorcycle northbound, crossed the center line and collided with a southbound 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 33-year-old Burley man.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene; he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries but declined medical transport; he was wearing a seat belt.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved. The roadway was closed for approximately two hours as emergency crews managed the scene.
Idaho State Police were assisted by the Cassia County Sheriff’s Office, Burley Fire Department, and Cassia Regional Hospital medics. The incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
