Motorcyclist Killed in Head-On Crash in Kootenai County Forest
KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho – A motorcyclist died in a head-on collision with a truck in the Coeur d’Alene National Forest on October 16, authorities said.
Emergency responders from Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) were dispatched to the scene in the Fernan Saddle area at approximately 3:15 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the motorcyclist trapped beneath the truck. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
As of Thursday night, the incident remains under investigation, and no further details regarding the crash have been confirmed by authorities.
