SALT LAKE CITY — A motorcyclist died after losing control and crashing late Tuesday or early Wednesday near 1100 E. 500 South.
According to Salt Lake City Police, the motorcyclist was heading west when he separated from his bike and struck the median barricade around midnight.
The incident was discovered by an officer patrolling the area shortly after it occurred. Emergency personnel transported the rider to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased and continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
