CARY, NC — A motorcycle accident on McCrimmon Parkway left one driver dead Saturday night, according to law enforcement.
The incident occurred around 7:11 p.m. at the intersection of McCrimmon Parkway and Green Level Church Road. The motorcycle rider was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, Cary Police said.
The driver of the other vehicle involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
Cary Police confirmed that the crash site has a history of accidents, with multiple incidents reported in recent years along this stretch of McCrimmon Parkway, particularly near Panther Creek High School.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation oversees this roadway. The Town of Cary has been working on safety improvements, including a recently approved plan aimed at enhancing pedestrian safety.
