PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Authorities confirmed that a man died in a motorcycle crash on I-195 west in Providence on Thursday night.
The incident occurred near the South Main Street exit around 11:30 p.m.
Rhode Island State Police said the motorcyclist, identified as 38-year-old Anthony J. Fiandaca of Fall River, lost control while attempting to take the Exit 1C off-ramp.
Fiandaca crashed into a concrete barrier and was ejected from the motorcycle, authorities noted.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to State Police.
No other vehicles were involved, and the crash caused temporary lane closures in the area while an investigation was conducted.
