A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Interstate 25 north of downtown Denver on Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred near the Park Avenue exit around 4 p.m., authorities said. First responders, including the Denver Police Department, were dispatched to the scene of the single-motorcycle accident. The HOV lane was temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation.
Police confirmed that a male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 5 p.m. The Colorado Department of Transportation reported that the lane was reopened by 6:45 p.m. No additional details about the victim or the cause of the crash have been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
