Motorcyclist killed in crash on West Seattle Bridge.

SEATTLE – A motorcycle crash on the West Seattle Bridge early Tuesday morning resulted in one fatality and prompted an investigation by police.

According to the Seattle Police Department (SPD), officers responded to the scene just before 2 a.m. on the 1st Avenue South off-ramp. Upon arrival, they discovered a man deceased on the ground below the bridge. The Seattle Fire Department subsequently declared him dead at the scene.

Investigators from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad processed the area, which was cordoned off for safety. Preliminary findings indicate the motorcyclist was traveling westbound when he hit a guardrail while navigating the off-ramp, causing him to crash and land on the sidewalk below.
