Motorcycle Crash Claims Life on Shad Road, Jacksonville
A motorcycle crash on Shad Road in Jacksonville resulted in a fatality shortly after 2:41 p.m. on Saturday.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a motorcycle struck a concrete pole, resulting in severe injuries to the rider, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
Two eyewitnesses reported the incident, stating that the motorcycle was traveling at a high speed before the crash. Emergency responders from JFRD arrived promptly and pronounced the rider dead on site.
Authorities closed Shad Road in both directions for an investigation. Towing services were dispatched to remove the motorcycle from the scene.
