Motorcyclist killed in deadly crash near Memorial Park, according to Housotn Police Department

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An 18-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash near Memorial Park on Tuesday night. The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. in the 4700 block of Woodway Drive.

According to the Houston Police Department, the motorcyclist was riding a black Yamaha motorcycle westbound at a high speed when he collided with a black Jeep Cherokee. The Jeep was traveling eastbound and attempting to turn left onto North Post Oak at the time of the crash.

Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is handling the identification process and will notify family members.

The 55-year-old Jeep driver was uninjured and remained at the scene. Authorities stated there were no signs of intoxication, and the driver was questioned before being released.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, with no lanes closed following the collision.
