A motorcyclist was killed Saturday evening in a crash on the Foothills Parkway.
Authorities received reports of the incident at 6:30 p.m., according to the U.S. Department of the Interior. Rangers from Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene, where the motorcyclist was pronounced dead.
The identity, age, and gender of the victim have not been released.
“No additional information is available at this time,” the Interior Department stated in a release on Monday. An investigation is ongoing.
