A 47-year-old man from Dixon, Missouri, was killed in a motorcycle crash on I-44 early Monday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the incident occurred at 1:27 a.m. when a 2009 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic, traveling west near the 230.6-mile marker, veered off the right side of the roadway.
The motorcycle collided with a mile-marker sign, ejecting the driver and resulting in critical injuries. Emergency responders transported him to Missouri Baptist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:11 a.m.
MSHP confirmed the man was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
