A 30-year-old man died after being ejected from his motorcycle on westbound I-96 near Evergreen Road in Detroit on June 6.
According to Michigan State Police, the motorcyclist lost control and collided with a retaining wall around 9:25 p.m. Witnesses reported seeing the motorcycle down on the shoulder of the westbound lanes without a rider.
Troopers located the man’s body in the roadway of eastbound I-96. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not disclosed if there were any other vehicles involved. The investigation is ongoing, and no lane closures were reported during the incident.
