CARY, NC (August 8, 2026) – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a passenger vehicle at McCrimmon Parkway and Green Level Church Road around 7:10 p.m. Saturday.
Emergency responders transported the male motorcyclist to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the deceased has not been released, according to authorities.
The driver of the passenger vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation by the Cary Police Department. Road closures were implemented during the emergency response but have since reopened.
Police have not disclosed specific details regarding the vehicles’ movements, speed, or right of way at the time of the incident.
Witnesses expressed concerns over limited visibility in the area.
Cary Town Council member Sarika Bansal mentioned plans for an intersection project that will introduce a traffic signal, crosswalks, and modifications to improve traffic flow, with completion expected by summer 2027.
Authorities noted that McCrimmon Parkway is under the jurisdiction of the North Carolina Department of Transportation, necessitating state review for any proposed changes.
