Motorcyclist Killed in Kansas City Collision with USPS Truck.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A motorcyclist died on Thursday, May 14, following a crash with a USPS semi-truck on Truman Road.

According to the Kansas City Police Department, officers responded around 4:15 p.m. on May 12 to reports of an injury accident at Truman Road and Lister Avenue. Preliminary investigations revealed that a Kawasaki motorcycle traveling east struck the rear of a stopped United States Postal Service International semi-truck, which was idling in traffic.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained life-threatening injuries. Despite medical efforts, the motorcyclist succumbed to those injuries two days later. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured in the incident.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash.
