SUGAR LAND, Texas – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Highway 6 near U.S. Highway 59 on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 6, according to the Sugar Land Police Department. One motorcyclist was confirmed deceased at the scene.
Authorities closed all southbound lanes on State Highway 6 under U.S. Highway 59. One northbound lane remains open. Traffic on the northbound U.S. Highway 59 feeder approaching the intersection is being diverted to one lane, allowing only right turns onto southbound State Highway 6.
Emergency response teams, including local police and medical aid, remain at the scene, which is expected to be active for several hours.
As the investigation continues, no further details about the victim have been released.
