JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. – A three-vehicle crash on Saturday evening resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Kirtland Road and High Banks Road. According to Oregon State Police, a Cadillac Escalade, driven by 74-year-old Michael Bryan Dickerson of Grants Pass, collided with a Ford Escape operated by a 16-year-old from Central Point.
Seconds later, a Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle, driven by 27-year-old Jeremy Bruno Fantechi of Grants Pass, struck the Cadillac. Authorities confirmed Fantechi was pronounced dead at the scene, while Dickerson and the teenage driver were unharmed.
The crash led to lane closures that lasted about four hours as officers conducted their investigation. Emergency response included the Oregon State Police, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson County Fire District 3, and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT).
