PITTSBURG, N.H. —
Two Canadian individuals sustained serious injuries Monday after their motorcycle collided with a deer on Route 3, near the Canadian Port of Entry, according to New Hampshire State Police.
The incident occurred just before 1 p.m. Both the motorcyclist and passenger were ejected from the motorcycle but were wearing helmets.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital in Maine, while the passenger was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Route 3 was briefly closed as emergency responders worked to clear the scene.
