Motorcycle Crash on Transmountain Loop Leaves Rider in Critical Condition
EL PASO, Texas (May 24, 2023) – A motorcycle crash occurred on Transmountain Loop 375 East at approximately 11:43 a.m. on Saturday, resulting in serious injuries to the rider.
Authorities confirmed the motorcyclist, traveling eastbound, lost control while navigating a left-hand curve, colliding with a traffic sign pole. Emergency responders from the El Paso Fire Department transported the rider to a local hospital, where he is currently in critical but stable condition.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, which is leading the investigation, requested assistance from the Special Traffic Investigators to assess the circumstances of the crash. Deputies are investigating the incident’s specifics, including potential factors contributing to the loss of control.
As a result of the crash, all eastbound lanes on Transmountain Loop 375 remain closed, and traffic officials advise motorists to seek alternate routes. The estimated time for lane reopening has not yet been determined.
