PHOENIX – A serious motorcycle crash at the intersection of 27th Avenue and Buckeye Road in west Phoenix occurred Thursday morning, leaving one man critically injured.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene just before 7 a.m. to assist the injured motorcyclist, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital in life-threatening condition, according to Phoenix Police.
The driver of the other vehicle involved remained on-site to cooperate with police.
Witnesses reported a damaged motorcycle obstructing the roadway; firefighters worked to clear the debris.
Authorities closed the intersection for several hours, reopening it later in the afternoon following the investigation and tow of the vehicles involved.
