NEW MADRID COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on Wednesday, July 22, at approximately 5:30 p.m.
The incident occurred at the intersection of U.S. 60 and MO E in Morehouse.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a 46-year-old man from Sikeston was traveling westbound when he lost control of his motorcycle, which skidded into a westbound SUV.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital with serious injuries.
The SUV driver, a 35-year-old man from Paris, Tennessee, reported no injuries.
Troopers noted the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, while the SUV driver was buckled in.
The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene; the SUV incurred minor damage and was driven away.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
