Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Collision with SUV on Highway 101 in Arroyo Grande
ARROYO GRANDE, CA – A motorcyclist sustained severe injuries in a crash with an SUV on southbound Highway 101 on August 9, 2026, at 4:10 p.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just north of the Oak Park Boulevard off-ramp. A silver Honda CR-V was involved in the collision, which resulted in the rider being thrown from the motorcycle into brush on the center divider.
Emergency medical services transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital with major injuries.
CHP is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. No further details regarding the extent of damages or lane closures have been released at this time.
