Motorcyclist Cited in I-355 Crash
Lisle, IL — A motorcyclist was cited following a crash involving a Yamaha motorcycle and a Volkswagen on Interstate 355 on June 6, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Illinois State Police reported that the motorcycle struck the right guardrail before colliding with the rear of the Volkswagen near milepost 18. The 20-year-old male motorcycle rider from Lake Zurich was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency responders closed the southbound lanes of I-355 for the duration of the accident investigation. The motorcyclist received citations for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
