FARGO, N.D. — A motorcycle crash involving four vehicles at Main Avenue and South University Drive claimed the life of a 60-year-old man Thursday afternoon, July 30.
The incident occurred around 3:21 p.m. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Ronald Huebner, of Mahnomen, Minnesota, was riding westbound when he allegedly ran a red light and collided with a southbound Subaru Ascent.
The impact ejected Huebner from his motorcycle, causing him to be struck by a Ford F-150. His motorcycle subsequently hit a Ford Fusion that was stopped behind the pickup.
Huebner was transported to Sanford Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. No injuries were reported among the other vehicle occupants: the Subaru driver, Kirsten Barton, 53, and her passenger, Laura Barton, 67, both from Fargo, alongside the drivers of the F-150 and Fusion, Dylan Kangas, 23, and Sarah Delgado, 20, both from Fargo.
Authorities noted wet road conditions due to light rain at the time of the crash. The Fargo Police Department, Fargo Fire Department, and Sanford Ambulance were on scene to provide assistance.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash.
