One dead in multi-vehicle crash on I-40 in Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY — A multi-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle claimed one life and resulted in serious injuries for two others on Wednesday at approximately 12:40 p.m.
The incident occurred on westbound Interstate 40 near Western Avenue, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP). The westbound lanes were completely shut down following the collision.
OHP confirmed the death of the motorcyclist and reported two individuals sustained critical injuries. Emergency responders and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene for aid.
As investigations continue, traffic is backed up significantly, with delays extending toward the Dallas Interchange at I-235. Authorities are working to clear the area and determine the cause of the crash.
