SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – A 44-year-old man died Wednesday morning in a motorcycle crash near Black Hawk.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred at approximately 7:08 a.m. on Erickson Ranch Road, near Escape Lane. Francis Michael Bierman was riding a 2010 Triumph motorcycle westbound when he lost control while navigating a curve.
The motorcycle veered off the road, causing Bierman to be thrown from the vehicle. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash.
