COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. —
A crash involving multiple vehicles at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Cays Drive occurred on [insert date and time].
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), 43-year-old Marshall Franklin Jenkins of Naples has been arrested for DUI Manslaughter, DUI with Property Damage, and DUI with injury. He is currently booked in the Collier County Jail.
FHP reported that Jenkins was driving south on U.S. 41 when he crossed the center line, colliding with a motorcycle and ejecting the rider. The debris from the accident struck two other motorcyclists, and another motorcycle subsequently collided with the original motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist hit by Jenkins was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other motorcyclists sustained minor injuries.
All lanes of U.S. 41 at Cays Drive were shut down but reopened at 8 p.m. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, authorities said.
