Nebraska Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 79.

LINCOLN, Neb. — A North Bend man died Friday morning following a motorcycle accident on Highway 79 at County Road X, according to authorities.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., Edward D. Trapp Sr., 66, lost control of his motorcycle while attempting to slow down for a semitrailer. The motorcycle veered into a ditch and struck a small tree, ejecting Trapp and his passenger, authorities said.

First responders pronounced Trapp dead at the scene. His passenger was transported to a hospital in Fremont and later flown to an Omaha hospital; her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The Saunders County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident. No roadway closures were reported following the crash.
