Motorcyclist Dies in Crash on Mississippi Highway 6 in Tupelo
TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — A motorcyclist died following a crash involving a sedan on Mississippi Highway 6 on Friday evening, October 6, around 9:02 p.m.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), the motorcycle was operated by 56-year-old Michael Lambert of Okolona, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the sedan, identified as 23-year-old James Wilson of Nettleton, faces charges of aggravated DUI and leaving the scene of an accident, according to MHP Staff Sgt. Bryan McGee.
Details regarding any injuries to Wilson were not provided.
Emergency responders were dispatched, and the highway was temporarily closed as authorities conducted their investigation. Further updates are expected as the situation develops.
