🚨 Pennsylvania Crash Claims Lives of Two Motorcyclists
A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Route 332 in Brady Township, Pennsylvania, at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, resulting in two deaths.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, Bernadette Ann Cobb, 55, of Brick, New Jersey, lost control of her Nissan Rogue after a bug flew inside her vehicle, causing her to cross into oncoming traffic. The SUV collided with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of both riders.
The motorcycle’s driver, Anthony M. Sones, 34, and passenger Miranda S. Wormuth, 30, both from Hyde, Pennsylvania, were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities noted that Sones was not wearing his helmet properly, and Wormuth was riding without one.
After the impact, Cobb’s vehicle plunged down an embankment and struck a tree. She and her passenger, David M. Guerra, 47, from Linden, New Jersey, managed to escape with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities reported Cobb did not appear to be impaired, though there was an ignition interlock restriction on her driver’s license.
Cobb faces multiple charges, including homicide by vehicle and aggravated assault by vehicle. She is currently held on $100,000 bail at the Clearfield County Jail, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision, which led to temporary lane closures on Route 332.
