Family Launches GoFundMe Following Death of Local Mother
October 3, 2023, 8:00 a.m. — Local community members have initiated a GoFundMe campaign to support the children of Brittany Islami after her tragic passing.
According to the campaign organizers, Katelyn (aunt) and Peter Young (grandfather), the fundraiser aims to cover immediate and future expenses for Islami’s three children. These needs include living costs, childcare, clothing, food, counseling, and educational support.
The organizers stated, “Her three children were the center of her world. They are now facing the unimaginable loss of their mother while their family works to navigate this difficult new reality.”
The GoFundMe also extended condolences to the family of Whiteside, emphasizing, “He was deeply loved and cherished by many, and his absence will be felt by all who knew him.”
As of Wednesday morning, the fundraiser has collected $39,000 toward its goal of $75,000.
