NEW PLYMOUTH, Idaho — A 33-year-old man from New Plymouth died on August 30 after a motorcycle crash on US-30, Idaho State Police reported.
According to authorities, the collision occurred at 5:30 p.m. on August 25, involving a 2020 Toyota Tacoma with a trailer and a 1994 Yamaha XJ600 motorcycle traveling northbound.
Police stated the Tacoma, operated by a 25-year-old woman accompanied by a juvenile passenger, slowed to turn onto SE 2nd Avenue. To avoid the Tacoma, the motorcyclist crossed the center line and struck the driver’s side of the pickup.
The motorcyclist sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital, where he died five days later, ISP confirmed.
No other injuries were reported, and authorities noted that the rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, according to ISP.
