OSWEGO COUNTY – A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on State Route 3 in Mexico at approximately 2:14 p.m. on July 11, 2026.
According to the New York State Police, a 17-year-old operator attempted to pass another vehicle when he failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle left the roadway, struck a tree, and ejected the operator.
The rider, identified as Dalton J. Cummins of Mexico, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no further details have been released.
