A senior from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains is in critical condition following a motorcycle accident on Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. when the 18-year-old rider, from the Bronx, crashed while exiting the Bronx River Parkway onto the Cross County Parkway in Yonkers, according to Westchester County Police. The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the incident, and emergency responders transported the rider to a local hospital.

Paul Carty, principal of Archbishop Stepinac, informed parents via email, stating, “I ask that you keep Alexis and his family in your prayers.” He also noted that the school is available for students in need of support.

Authorities confirmed that the rider is currently in critical but stable condition. No other injuries have been reported, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing. Lane closures may have occurred as emergency personnel responded to the scene.

Local parents expressed their heartbreak and concern for the student’s family during this difficult time.
