Reno Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Storey County
STOREY COUNTY, NV—A 34-year-old man from Reno died in a motorcycle crash on State Route 341 on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at 12:25 p.m.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP), Edmond Jones was riding a 2009 Ducati motorcycle southbound near mile marker 7 when he crossed into the northbound lane, colliding head-on with a 2020 Kia Sorento SUV.
Authorities said Jones was ejected from the motorcycle and later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The driver of the Kia was not reported injured.
State Route 341 was closed during the investigation and traffic was redirected until all lanes reopened at 2:18 p.m. The incident remains under investigation by NHP.
