NJ Corrections Officer Dies in Motorcycle Accident, Union Reports.

A 29-year-old Senior Corrections Police Officer, Aaron A. Elly of Cinnaminson, was confirmed deceased following a crash.

Details regarding the crash have not been disclosed. According to the union, Elly died on May 31. A GoFundMe organized by PBA Local 105 raised over $11,000 as of June 4.

Authorities praised Elly’s dedication to his work and expressed condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. “Officer Elly was a respected coworker and a friend to many,” the union stated.

A Willingboro native, Elly graduated from the New Jersey Department of Corrections Academy in 2018, along with his brothers Jordan and Dominic. Following his graduation, he began his corrections career and served as a senior corrections police officer at New Jersey State Prison.

Elly was known for his love of travel, outdoor activities, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Family and friends may attend a viewing from 11 a.m. to noon on June 6 at Mount Laurel Funeral Home, followed by a service from noon to 1 p.m. Burial is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Burlington.

He is survived by his parents, Suhail and Coleen Elly, as well as brothers, nephews, and extended family.
